Write a preservation or appearance statement
Describe the result in one sentence before collecting material names. For preservation, identify the paint and the panels you want considered. For appearance, describe the colour, reflection and retained details that matter. A statement such as keeping the current red while considering forward-panel coverage leads to a different discussion from changing the body to satin silver. Neither sentence is a specification until the studio assesses the actual car.
Draw the coverage instead of naming a package
Motenza Wrap’s PPF service distinguishes front-end and full-body coverage. Use that distinction to request a written panel list. Include the surfaces you want assessed and ask which remain outside the proposal. The bonnet, bumper, mirror shapes and adjacent trim should not disappear inside a broad phrase such as complete protection. A coverage drawing makes later comparisons easier because the same visible boundary can be discussed across the proposals.
Bring the current condition into the conversation
Provide clear photographs of existing film, visible chips, repaired areas and any finish concern. Record what is known about prior work without diagnosing the substrate yourself. An installation proposal should distinguish preparation from the film application and explain any assessment still needed. Do not use a sample photograph to imply that an existing mark will disappear. Keeping present condition separate from the desired appearance avoids an agreement built around different assumptions.
Compare the finish on the car’s visual boundaries
Look at the proposed material beside the wheels, bright trim and any surfaces you intend to retain. Review a physical sample in more than one lighting condition rather than relying solely on a phone image. If the project changes colour, discuss visible openings and the transition to the original finish. Those boundaries can matter as much as the large exterior panels when deciding whether the result matches the owner’s intention.
Keep a usable handover record
Retain the accepted panel scope, selected product, agreed preparation and the studio’s care instructions. Ask how concerns should be reported and how later panel work relates to the installation. The useful outcome is a documented project with understandable coverage, not a promise that a film prevents every kind of damage. Schedule transport around the confirmed workshop window rather than assuming a universal completion time.
Questions before the next step
Is PPF the same decision as changing the Ferrari’s colour?
No. Begin with preservation and appearance as separate objectives. The exact product and coverage can then be assessed against the result you want, including any combined scope proposed by the studio.
May a rental customer arrange this work?
The project needs the vehicle owner’s or authorised operator’s approval. A rented Ferrari should remain within its rental agreement; an inspiring finish can instead inform a future project for a car you own.
